Party for a Purpose!

Show your solidarity with women abroad and have an evening of fun with friends!  Register on our website to host a Bead Party out of the comfort of your own home. We will send you a package with handmade Ugandan jewelry, African music, and a DVD with interviews from the AIDS widows who craft the beautiful jewelry.  You invite your friends over and have a good time! The money you make from bead sales gets sent back to help the crafters send their children to school and obtain healthcare.  The knowledge you spread lasts a lifetime.  Its a Party for a Purpose!  Register online now!!

Our New Education Director!

We welcome Rebecca Pisciotta to the Slum Doctor team! Rebecca graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a degree in Biology and has been working at AIDS nonprofits for the last four years.  She has contributed to fundraising and program planning efforts at the AIDS Service Center of Lower Manhattan and the HIV Center at Columbia University.  She will be organizing our local education efforts in Bellingham schools, overseeing interns and volunteers, and helping to raise money for the HOPE Women's Group with new jewelry marketing strategies.  We know she will be an asset to the team!
