You may not be able to go to Africa but you CAN rally your community to support the work that is already happening on the ground.
Slum Doctor Programme depends on the creative and original ideas of people like you to raise awareness and money to continue to fight AIDS and poverty in sub-Saharan Africa. Students, clubs, classrooms, churches, youth groups, and community organizations raise thousands of dollars every year to support the work of Kenyans and Ugandans prolonging life in their own communities.
From concerts to lemonade stands every idea is a good idea. Thats what being grassroots is all about!
Learn the facts about HIV/AIDS, poverty, and gender inequality in Africa and around the world THEN tell a friend about it.

Create your own fundraiser. Wether it is on your own, with your friends or with a group the possibilities are endless to have a ton of fun and raise money for SDP. FOR EXAMPLE: I want to raise $100, enough to feed an orphan in Rabuor Village for a year (OR). I will do this by knitting socks that I will sell to my family and friends. Or, I want to raise $800, a scholarship for an Ombogo student for a year. I will do this by inviting friends and family over for a dinner party and we can watch the Ombogo movie together (available upon request).

Invite SDP to come speak to your club, church, youth group, school, dinner party, concert, etc. about the work of SDP and the people that we support.

Volunteer your time and skill to help SDP. Are you a graphic designer, web-designer, research specialist, grant writer, artist, celebrity, journalist, super genius...you get the point. If you can see your skill contributing to this mission, then we want to hear about it. Or if you simply want to help out around the office or at events we always have work to be done. Send us your volunteer application(click to download) and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
